Depending on the operating system and browser in use, saved passwords can be retrieved as below:
Microsoft Edge
- Click the three dots at the top right corner of Edge and select “Settings.”
- Select the “Profiles” section and click “Passwords.”
- You will see a section that lists your passwords.
Alternatively, you can access your saved passwords in your Edge Wallet:
- Type “edge://wallet” in the Edge address bar.
- You will see a display of your saved passwords.
The Edge Wallet view gives more detailed information about your passwords, such as reported leaks and reuse.
Chrome - PC
- Open Chrome and click the three dots in the top-right corner.
- Select Settings.
- On the left sidebar, click Autofill and passwords, then Google Password Manager.
- Search for the website you need and click the eye icon to reveal the password. You will need to enter your computer's PIN or password.
Chrome - Mac OS
- Open Google Chrome on your Mac.
- Click the three vertical dots in the top-right corner of the browser window.
- Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
- Click Autofill and passwords on the left sidebar, then choose Google Password Manager.
- Scroll or use the search bar to find the website or account you are looking for.
- Click the eye icon next to the saved password.
- Authenticate using Touch ID or by typing in your Mac's system password to reveal the credentials.
Safari - Mac OS
macOS Sequoia or newer
Open the Passwords app from your Applications folder or Spotlight:
- Authenticate with Touch ID or your Mac's password.
- Search for the website to view or copy the credentials.
macOS Sonoma or older
- Open Safari and click on Safari in the top menu bar.
- Select Settings (or Preferences) and click the Passwords tab.
- Sign in with Touch ID or enter your Mac's user password.
