OS X Lion - Moving files out of Applications Folder

In OS X Lion, if you try to drag an application or a file out of the Applications folder, it by default creates an alias and does not move the files.

To move files out of the Applications folder, drag them while holding down the Command key on your keyboard when you move them. This will move the actual files, removing them from the Applications folder and putting them in the source folder you drag them to.
