This alert is related to specific OS X privileges. It occurs when Brief Client is launched for the first time in an OS X account that is not ranked an administrator account. See below on how to resolve.
On each of the users' computers that do not regularly have administrator privileges:
Logout of the user's account and log back into OS X as the Administrator user on that computer
Launch Brief Client and connect to Brief Server
Shutdown Brief Client and logout of the Administrator account
Log back into the previous user's account and try connecting to Brief Server again
The first time Brief Client connects to the server it needs to create some files in folders that are only accessible by a user with Administrator access. After the server has been connected to once, other users on that computer should be able to launch from their own account.
