Transfer Trust Funds Between Matters

Trust Transfers from One Matter to Another

The Trust Transfer function automatically moves trust funds from one matter to another. The trust transfer posts a trust check on one matter and a trust receipt on the other.

Select the Trust module > Transfer icon (to the left of the Trust icon):

Enter the From File Number
Enter the To File Number
Enter the Amount
Enter the Transfer Date
Enter the Reason

Click Post.

Note: Trust funds cannot be transferred between matters that are assigned different trust bank accounts. When this is the case, a Trust Check must me posted from one matter, and a Trust Receipt posted in the other.
