Assign a Trust Account to a Matter
A matter can have a trust account associated with it. If you only have one trust account then that account is assigned by default to every matter. If you have multiple trust accounts then you need to assign the appropriate account on the matter card if you wish to have any trust accounting associated with that matter.
Choose the Client moduel > Matter tab
Pull up the matter in question
Enter the Trust Account number in the Bank Acct field
Tip! In any Bank Account field you can enter "G" and tab to bring up a list of general office accounts or "T" and tab to bring up a list of trust accounts.
Once trust transactions have been posted to a matter, you cannot change the account associated with it. If a matter has multiple trust accounts you need to create a unique matter card for each account.
