Tax settings for different provinces can be set on the Matter Card > "Other" side menu option:
This will be the default tax rate charged on new slips. This can be changed on a per matter basis if the taxes need to be changed for matters where varying tax rates need to be changed.
You can set the default tax rate to either the Province in which your firm is located or the Province where the client is located. To do so, select the Company module > GLSetUp tab > Tax / T&B side tab and choose whatever option is best for your firm:
For each new matter that is opened, the tax rate will be set to the jurisdiction of your firm's Province or the Province where the matter is located depending on the default option selected.
Individual matters can always be changed from the default as required.
