Import Slips from Brief EnCounter into Brief Accounting

After slips have been entered into Brief EnCounter, they must be exported from Brief EnCounter to allow them to be imported into Brief Accounting for billing.

The exported file name will include the Timekeeper's initials and date of export, similar to below:

To Import the Slips

From the Brief Accounting Home screen, click the Billing module icon, then click the Imp/Export icon:

On the resultant screen, select Import File and click OK:

On the resultant screen, click as below to browse to and select the Slips file that was exported and saved from Brief EnCounter:

Once the Slips file has been selected, click Import.

The imported slips are marked as Billable in the applicable matters. They may still be edited or deleted in Brief Accounting. 

To View a List of Imported Slips

From the Reports menu, select the Timekeeper option:

Select List of Slips Entered > Doc option and click OK:

On the resultant screen, enter the name of the Slips file that was imported (Copying and pasting the name of the slips file works best for this) and click OK:

 A list of slips specific to the Slips import file is displayed. The list may be saved or printed from Preview.
