Brief Accounting allows various options on what information is displayed on prebills/invoices.
All of the options can be modified at the time of printing/posting invoices, but the default display options can be set as below.
To access the the default invoice display options:
Select the Company module icon > Defaults tab > Billing 1 side menu option:
T&B Billing Summary:
The Billing Summary appears at the bottom of the prebill/invoice. It summarizes the hours worked at various rate levels for Timekeepers who have worked on the invoice.
The "Include Billed Totals" option displays what has been billed to date on the matter.
Invoice Reference:
The Invoice Reference can be set to use the Matter's Short Description or Long Description as entered on the Matter Card.
It can also be set to "Custom". When it is set to Custom, it will appear similar to below on the prebill/invoice (using a date range encompassing all slips to be billed):
Regardless of what default option was selected, the Invoice Reference may be edited on the screen above when printing/posting invoices.

Aged A/R:
This can be set to Auto, On or Off which will determine if Aged Accounts Receivable Balances are displayed on invoices.
If set to Auto or On, there are various options for displaying Aged A/R:
Include A/R Detail - this displays the amounts of outstanding A/R invoices
Include A/R Subsequent Payments - this includes past and current payments made that affect the current outstanding A/R (even if the invoice is back-dated).
Include Aged A/R Summary - This displays a summary at the bottom of the invoice showing Aged A/R amounts and the total owing.
Include A/R Interest - this displays the interest owing as at the date of the current invoice posting.

Less Funds In Trust:
This can be set to Auto, On or Off which will determine if invoices display any available trust funds as being applied to the invoice.
If set to Auto or On, there is an option to display the Trust Statement. If this is selected, the Statement of Funds in Trust (receipts and checks) is displayed at the bottom of the invoice.
Default Invoice Type:
If the Invoice header is turned on to be displayed, the display title at the top of the invoice can be selected.
Remittance Advice:
If selected, remittance advice will be displayed at the end of the last page of the invoice similar to below:
Please Make Check Payable To line:
If selected, the text will appear after the Balance Due on the invoice.
Include Message:
If selected, an Invoice Message will appear under Remittance Advice. The Invoice message is taken from the Company module > Defaults tab:
