Accessing Wills & Estates information

 

Brief Accounting maintains Wills & Estates information for each matter.

Choose the Clients and Matters module icon > Click the New button to bring up a new matter

Select "Wills and Estates" from the Practice Area > The Info sidetab will now be active


Click on the Info sidetab

A new screen that tracks Wills & Estates information will be displayed. Enter the information accordingly.


The notes screen is designed to keep track of each contact with this matter. Clicking the calendar icon in the top-right corner adds a line and current date to the notes field and updates the "Last Contact" date.

Clicking the box beside "Codicil" enters the current date into both the "Codicil" and "Last Contact" dates.
