Brief Accounting Data File Backup - Standalone Edition

For Brief Accounting users not running the client-server application, there is a backup setting that should be enabled that will back up a copy of the Brief Accounting data file upon quitting the application.

To enable automatic backup:

Select the Company module icon > Defaults tab.

Click "Enable Runtime Backup on Quit".

Then click the Browse button:

Browse to and select the folder that backs will be saved in.

Ideally this will be a cloud drive or network folder that is backed up.

Once the folder is selected click "Accept".

When Brief Accounting is Quit (ideally daily), a compressed (zip) file of the current data is saved in the destination folder:

A file is created in the backup folder using the Firm ID number, date and time as the file name:
